Breast cancer prevention is of paramount to concern to most women over 35. Breast cancer rates in the western world have steadily climbed over the past 30 years. At the same time, breast cancer rates among Japanese women are far less than their western counterparts. This fact led University of California campuses UC Berkeley and UC Davis to conduct a long term joint study on breast cancer prevention methods. They concluded that the Japanese women had a diet much richer in sea vegetables than western women. The trace minerals and bio-available iodine in sea vegetables lead to longer periods of menstruation in Japanese women, which results in a lower amount of periods over the course of a lifetime, and therefore less exposure to the hormones released during menstruation that can result in breast cancer. Therefore, their diet was essentially the main causal factor in determining their breast cancer prevention methodology.
Many women want to know how to prevent breast cancer. It appears that the best anti-cancer agents come not from the medical community, but rather alternative healers and alternative medicine, such as organic sea vegetables supplements. For years, alternative healing has touted the anti-cancer benefits of sea vegetables.
